The British Industry Supercharger (also known in the context of Energy Intensive Industries or EII) is designed to bring UK industrial energy costs closer to parity with international competitors.
It applies to highly energy-intensive and trade-exposed industries, delivering exemptions on major policy costs (such as RO, FiT and CfD) and significant network-charge compensation.
Critical Note on BICS overlap
Supercharger/EII relief cannot be duplicated on the same electricity as the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme (BICS). If a site qualifies for the Supercharger, it represents the highest-value tier and supersedes BICS for that consumption.
