Energy relief consultants often charge around 25% of the savings secured. Our Standard and Advanced rates are shown above.

Rates apply progressively within each quarter, based on actual verified savings. Benefit may be a lower energy bill, credit, refund or payment. Fees are invoiced after the quarterly calculation, plus VAT. Separately agreed additional services may have their own fees.

What is the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme?
BICS is a Government scheme intended to remove certain Renewables Obligation, Feed-in Tariff and Capacity Market costs from qualifying manufacturing electricity in Great Britain.
Which manufacturers may qualify?
A business must meet the relevant company, eligible sector, product, location and electricity tests. Manufacturing must take place in England, Scotland or Wales, and the manufactured product must match the active scheme-year eligible HS6 list.
What is the minimum electricity threshold?
The formal grid-electricity threshold is strictly more than 16.5 MWh over the required six consecutive months. Behind-the-meter solar, CHP and wind generation is excluded. The 33 MWh annual figure is only an annualised proxy.
What evidence will our team need to provide?
The assessment typically requires electricity bills and MPAN details, company information, product and production records, and answers to targeted technical questions. Energy Relief Vault structures the information and highlights gaps for specialist review.
Is the indicative assessment an eligibility decision or guaranteed saving?
No. The assessment is an indicative illustration based on public assumptions. It is not an eligibility decision, application, quote or guaranteed saving. The final position depends on verified supplier data, product mapping and the formal eligibility criteria.
What does the service cost?
There is no upfront consultancy fee. Billing is calculated quarterly from actual verified BICS benefit evidenced by supplier and electricity information. We operate on a no claim, no fee basis.
What happens if only part of our production qualifies?
Complex sites can be assessed through the Advanced service. Our specialists review production-line allocations, machinery and asset profiles, energy-source attribution and any shared-site or landlord-supply arrangements.
Can BICS be combined with other energy reliefs?
Different relief routes can be assessed from the same core evidence, but relief cannot simply be duplicated on the same electricity. In particular, Supercharger relief cannot be duplicated on electricity receiving BICS relief.
What happens after a BICS application is approved?
The relief has an ongoing five-year compliance lifecycle, including declarations, a full review and renewal. Material changes must be reported and supporting records retained for at least six years.
